“It’s not that she can’t talk. It’s that she doesn’t need to talk.”
- Zach Maslany & JM Holland (Grace’s coaches)
Grace Gundrum’s jiu jitsu accomplishments speak for themselves. Founder of 10th Planet, Eddie Bravo, recognized early on that “she prefers to let her jiu jitsu do the talking.”
Grace is known to be on the quiet side, but her jiu jitsu is loud. As a young competitor, she quickly gained popularity for her above average skills for her age. Veterans of the sport and fellow competitors recognized her determination and prowess for submissions.
She’s widely known by her nickname “the silent assassin”, and for becoming one of the youngest female jiu jitsu black belts in the world when she received her black belt in 2020.
Known for High Percentage Submissions
The vast majority of Grace’s wins are from high level matches, by submission. She’s defeated many top female competitors such as Jessa Khan, Alyssa Mia Milson, Rikako Yuasa, and Pati Fontes.
While she’s gone on record that the dead orchard armbar is her favorite technique, she really doesn’t have just one specialty when it comes to submitting her opponents.
