About Lesson

Another way to misdirect your opponent’s attention is to attack them with the brabo choke.

Much like the modified cross collar choke in our previous video, this brabo can be used to get your opponent committed to defending the choke and help you set up the monoplata a heck of a lot easier.

But, like any good misdirection, there needs to be a real threat in it for your opponent, so you have to attack it with the intent to finish.

If they can defend it, you can advance on your path to the monoplata. If they can’t defend it, well you just scored yourself an easy tap.

Click play on the video above and learn Josh’s exact method for setting up a devastating brabo choke from closed guard, including how to break and dominate your opponent’s posture, no matter how hard they fight back.
